It will be going towards: Capital Needs, Future Operating Needs and Benevolence
Please be praying about how your family can be generous as the Lord builds his church!
At our weekend service you can use one of the blue envelopes that can be found on your seat. Please fill out all of the information on the outside of the envelope and place it in the offering plate when they are passed during the offering time.
For your convenience you can get a box of pre-numbered envelopes from Connections that you can use to give when you attend a service. These come pre-numbered with a unique number that is assigned to you so that our accounting team can earmark the gift to you. This ensures your confidentiality and is a great help to our team.
We now have a couple options for you to give online.
First is that we now accept Interac e-Transfers - you can send your donations to donations@redemptionnewmarket.ca through your bank. We ask that in the memo you fill in your name and address so we can be sure to get your receipt to you for tax purposes.
Second you can still give through payal by going to the section below. You can make a one-time gift by clicking on “Donate with Paypal” under “General Donation” or you can also choose “Automatic Offering” to set up regular recurring giving through Paypal. These will be charged to your credit card.
If you’d like to give a gift of securities or investments, please contact Pastor Myles Holmes at mholmes@redemptionnewmarket.ca who can provide you with the necessary information.
We now have a building fund you can give to as we seek the Lord for a home of our own. You can do so by cheque, or by sending an Interac e-Transfer to specialofferings@redemptionnewmarket.ca and writing "Building Fund” or “BF” in the memo. Our primary desire is to use this towards a permanent facility. However, if the Lord does not provide in this way, we may choose to use this towards temporary facility needs such as lease home improvements, long-term rental solutions, etc. If you have any questions please contact Pastor Myles Holmes at mholmes@redemptionnewmarket.ca.

Redemption Newmarket is an incorporated charity registered with the Canada Revenue Agency. Each year the church files an Annual Information form with the Charities Directorate in compliance with federal regulations.
Each fall an operational budget is prepared for review, analysis, questions, and approval by the executive staff and Elders. Each ministry is required to present a budget alongside a ministry plan for the year. The operating budget is fundamental to our accountability, transparency, and integrity. Staff compensation is approved by non-staff Elders and is compared with industry standards in North America to ensure it falls within acceptable parameters when compared to the overall budget of the church.
Monthly financial statements are prepared and compared to the operational budget to ensure spending is in line with the fulfillment of Redemption Newmarket’s mission. When necessary, Elder approval is obtained and the operational budget is updated to reflect any changes in priorities throughout the year.
To ensure maximum transparency and assurance Redemption Newmarket retains an independent auditor to conduct annual audits of its financial statements. These financial statements are audited in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS). Historical audited financial statements can be accessed at the bottom of this page.
Redemption Newmarket has a strict expense authorization to ensure financial accountability for operational and capital purchases. Purchases in excess of specific thresholds must be approved by the Senior Pastor.
Donor information is kept in strict confidence. Per our policies, Elders and Pastors do not have access to donor information and this information is kept in strict confidence by our Finance Department staff. Donor information is not sold, nor is it made available without the prior consent of the donor except where disclosure is required by law.
Spending of funds is confined to Elder approved programs and projects. Each contribution directed toward an approved program or project will be used as restricted with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by the Elders, the remaining restricted contributions will be used where the Elders deem it to be most needed.
Any questions regarding the budget or the financial statements can be addressed to Pastor Myles Holmes at mholmes@redemptionnewmarket.ca
